Bought more "me" stuff

Sigh. As if this month I hadn't already spent so much stocking up on favorite lotions, cosmetics, etc thanks to all those Friends and Family sales.

Today I was surfing the web during my lunch break (yes, I know, bad me) and ended up buying a new MP3 player. My old one has been acting up, and though it will work ok after I hit it enough times (ha ha), it isn't able to play my audiobooks. So I decided I'd replace it someday...didn't know it would be this quickly.

Anyway, it only dinged my wallet $20 or so, which is why I bought it. But, it is another ME purchase. Which brings me about $200 total over my usual alotted amount for "Me" shopping per month. Ugh.

With so many Black Friday deals on the horizon, I'm wondering if this is just the beginning of more spending...

    How brave of you to admit it. ;o) Here's what keeps me going right now, with all those deals out there. I created a notebook in my email account and I copy and paste the link into the notebook for all the things I want. It's my Christmas wish list and DH can pass it on to anyone he likes, or shop from the list himself.

    That works for me anyway.

    Ha ha ha... I've been going through this lately myself. At least I let DH spend the $40 Kohl's cash I got because I bought myself a stand mixer for Christmas.... Big Grin

    We bought a new Dyson at Kohls and got $50 back on that $300 credit ($288 before taxes). Then DH went and took the kids and spent that on my Christmas/birthday gift!

    Hey, maybe you just had a Black Friday a week early? Something that could lead you to avoid the rush? =) I hope that you just have some insurance that you will really get good use out of your new MP3 player, that will make the purchase worthwhile.
